Butterflies
Bright wings spread on warm stones paused,
Filled with sweetness, in flourishing flowers.
Myriad spikes of Lavender fragrantly entice,
Ingathering of humming bees seek surfeit.
Hurried to carry nature’s bounty,
A sight to give thanks with joy.
Flowers singing in the sun,
Don’t hurry by – take time to stand and stare.
Rejoice in the beauty – rich flowered bounty,
Give thanks for the day the Butterflies gather.
Counting with joy the Butterflies jewels – being glad,
For only today is our treasure.
