Evening Calm

Waiting, with time to stand
Breathing slowed
Evening calm slowly flows
Fades day into night
Quiet pause
Time stretched in sunset sky
Evening calm rises
Waiting with time to stand
First dawn light long past
Night gathers still air
Cool quiet muffles noise of day
Waiting with time to stand
Quiet pause of thankful peace
Hurry dissolved in evening calm
