Morning Song
Clouds scurry, stars fade in moon set,
Rose gold gleams herald first light.
Shadows resolve as soft drawn curtains;
Dew jewelled webs sparkle.
Bird song joins to swell the chorus;
Praise the break of day/
Thanks for the promise of fresh newness,
Clouds glow rich and radiant;
Gives up to sight of rising sun,
As night bidden traces moon beams across other continents.
The heart rises to greet day’s warmth;
Fresh joys restored in new light.
Rise to breath sweet possibilities of life;
Softly etched in morning song.
