New

See the sun rise in rose gold splendour
Touching the frost fringed shrubs with diamond light,
Stone chilled ground hard unyielding nurtures the new heralds of life
Bird song summons hope from winter’s night
New season hovers on gossamer wings in the drabness,
Pause in this dawn stillness  to seek the imperceptible
However, slow the new is awaking, greet hope with heartfelt joy
Join in the song, where all seems barren and cold.
This is the gate of the year, rejoice in the past left behind in this morning.
Turn aside through the gloom,
See pristine moments and give thanks for life.
