Tulip dance

Heavy raindrops bounce,
Delicate petals open to the storm.
Curl in beauty respond to change,
Stems bowed by sharp breeze.
Golden heads bent in the chill air,
Unexpected inclement airs discourage.
Fickle late spring spilling hail,
Dashing hope of growing warmth.
Sing long the new song,
Ballard of lengthening days.
Ring out the joy in the passage of days,
Take time in the Tulip dance.
