Watching, time suspended
Floating on a quiet swell,
Swift feet still.
No outer noise intruding,
Only the steady heartbeat,
Marks, time passing.
Waiting, waiting, paused,
A shiver of wind, no origin, nor destination.
Air damp, chill,
A breath holding pause,
Watching, watching,
Slate grey cloud blanket,
No form, a seamless expanse,
Floating, detached, this unreal covering.
Waiting to be dispersed, reformed,
To begin again, in a new day,
Another way of watching,
Heedless watching,
With none to see.
